Adams & Martin Group is partnering with a respected law firm to identify an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support a busy practice. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client documents and electronic data, including identifying potentially relevant materials for cases.
- Conduct litigation, criminal, and civil background research; obtain and authenticate records.
- Draft legal documents for attorney review, including pleadings, motions, discovery, disclosures, deposition notices, and settlement/dismissal documents.
- Support summary judgment preparation by organizing exhibits, verifying citations, and compiling appendices.
- Prepare and process document productions, including Bates labeling and redactions.
- Assist with trial preparation: exhibits, witness coordination, subpoenas, and on-site support.
- Perform legal research using online resources and firm systems.
- Track deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and collaborate with team members as needed.
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy and submit for processing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and project management ability.
- Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Experience working across state and federal court systems, including California courts.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and team-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal technology, including eDiscovery and document management tools (Relativity and/or Everlaw preferred).
Experience & Education
- Minimum 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally in labor & employment law.
- Solid understanding of litigation procedures, trial preparation, and court rules.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Certification Requirements
Candidates must meet California paralegal requirements, including one of the following:
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate; OR
- Certificate/degree from an accredited program with required law-related coursework; OR
- Bachelor's degree plus qualifying law-related experience under attorney supervision.
